Empower the world
Are you worried about violence, abuse, bullying, harassment, and cultural issues? We share your concerns. That's why, at the MATE Bystander Program, we're dedicated to empowering you, your community, school, university, and workplace with the tools and skills necessary to be effective bystanders. Our aim is to harness personal leadership for positive change. As the first and only evidence-based program in Australia, with nearly a decade of facilitating these discussions, our approach is straightforward: meet people where they are and guide them through curiosity and a sincere desire to foster a world where everyone feels safe, valued, equal, and celebrated.
Our epic Team
At the MATE Bystander Program, our team is composed of passionate and dedicated change-makers committed to making a difference in people's lives. We have various backgrounds, including psychology, mediation, social work, crisis support, finance, and music, which we use to create a holistic approach to bystander intervention training.
